"Good Fortune is a heart-warming rags to riches story, overcoming both social and economical adversity
  —Film Inquiry

Born into impoverished beginnings in East LA, John Paul DeJoria spent his early adulthood in and out of mortorcycle gangs, but transformed his life and built a wildly successful line of hair care products with stylist Paul Mitchell. Proving his success was not just a fluke, he then created the largest tequila brand in the world, Patrón. A modern day Robin Hood (without the stealing), JP spends his life creating back-to-work programs for the homeless, fighting whale poachers in the Arctic and working on over 100 other philanthropic ventures. His motto is "Success unshared is failure." and he is the pioneer of "conscious capitalism" (also known as "the triple bottom line"—people, planet, and profit).

Good Fortune tells his inspiring life story while showing how he uses business to make the world a better place. Featuring Dan Aykroyd, Arianna Huffington, Danny Trejo and Robert Kennedy Jr.

Directed by Joshua Tickell and Rebecca Harrell, U.S.A., 2016, 86 mins.
