Hosted by CHICAGO DANZTHEATRE ENSEMBLE, MY FIRST MOVIES is a perfect for first-time theater experiences (ages 2-6), these engaging short films are presented in a “no shhh-zone” where wiggles, whispers, and wonder are all part of the experience. Stay after the show for hands-on MAKE AND PLAY activities.
Summertime days and nights are filled with curiosity for children. Our August MY FIRST MOVIES explore this curiosity with stories of fireflies, playing in the sand, and making music. Sing a song with us to start the movies and join Chicago Danztheatre Ensemble afterward to make your own little bug art project. The series is sensory-friendly and geared for the whole family.

MAKE AND PLAY
After the screening, families are invited into our MAKE AND PLAY stations, where little ones can bring stories to life through hands-on play—think drawing, building, and craft-making inspired by what they’ve just seen.
