About Cinema
FACETS Cinema is one of the longest running and few remaining independent cinemas in Chicago
Since 1975, FACETS has provided an exhibition outlet for a wide variety of independent, international films, and have hosted special events with Werner Herzog, Robert Altman, and Bela Tarr, among others.
For over 20 years, FACETS Cinema has been under the direction of film programmer Charles Coleman and we are dedicated to uplifting diverse storytellers, with a focus on films that are overlooked in the mainstream.
Guided by this legacy and collectively programmed by the FACETS team, we are excited to present a mixture of first run, second run, and dynamic film series exploring a wide range of cinematic perspectives.
