FACETS ANNOUNCES DICKS: THE MUSICAL SCREENINGS

CHICAGO—FACETS is thrilled to announce select showtimes of the winner of this year’s Audience Award at the legendary Midnight Madness showcase of the Toronto International Film Festival, Larry Charles’s Dicks: The Musical (2023). FACETS will be screening this hilarious new musical comedy for two shows only on Friday, December 1st and Sunday, December 3rd. Tickets can be purchased in advance through FACETS’ website and cost $12/person per screening, and $10/FACETS Members with proof of active membership.

DICKS: THE MUSICAL
December 1 & 3, 2023
Two self-obsessed businessmen (writers Aaron Jackson & Josh Sharp), unexpectedly meet at work, where they are both top salesmen, who discover that they are long-lost identical twins.
They decide to get together and plot the reunion of their divorced and disturbingly deranged parents (Nathan Lane and Megan Mullally), like the “Parent Trap,” where they both switch places. Dicks is a full-blown movie musical that is narrated by God (Bowen Yang) and adapted from a two-man stage show by Jackson and Sharp, who turn in memorably manic performances as the titular twinsome, in this all-singing, all-dancing madness that also features celebrated rapper Megan Thee Stallion, as she lays down bars about how she “out-alphas the alphas” in her midst.
