FACETS ANNOUNCES NOVEMBER 30 TRIVIA NIGHT SCREENING

Andrew Horn’s 2004 documentary The Nomi Song screens at 9pm after free Film Trivia in FACETS’ Lounge

CHICAGO—FACETS is excited to announce their November Trivia Night programming, a screening of Andrew Horn’s Berlin Film Festival winner for Best Documentary, The Nomi Song (2004) on Thursday, November 30. Trivia Night screening tickets can be purchased in advance through FACETS’ website and cost $12/person per screening, and $10/FACETS Members with proof of active membership.

FACETS Film Trivia is back with our classic brand of infotainment quiz show fun, followed up by an after-trivia screening of the 2004 documentary about New Wave legend Klaus Nomi, The Nomi Song.

HE CAME FROM OUTER SPACE TO SAVE THE HUMAN RACE. MAN OR MARTIAN? NEW WAVE OR OPERA?

Looks like an alien, sings like a diva – Klaus Nomi was one of the 1980s’ most profoundly bizarre characters to emerge through rock music: a counter tenor who sang pop music like opera and brought opera to club audiences and made them like it. The Nomi Song is a film about fame, death, friendship, betrayal, opera, and the greatest New Wave rock star that never was!
