EUNIC Film Festival 2025 presents Meat:
In a village in the Greek countryside, Takis prepares the opening of his new butcher shop. One day before the inauguration, his son Pavlos kills the neighbour who claims part of their land. The only witness is Christos, a young man from Albania whom Takis has raised since childhood. The two young men hide the murder from Takis. But when the tension rises, Takis must decide who will take responsibility. A powerful family drama with roots in ancient Greek tragedy.
Screened in Greek with English subtitles.
Dimitris Nakos, Greece, 2024, 104 minutes.
