“A multi-generational Palestinian epic, is the kind of accomplished, immaculately rendered film that’s indicative of a director who’s learned much and is ready to seize more.” – Robert Daniels, RogerEbert.com

A deeply felt, decades-spanning epic, Palestinian-American auteur Cherien Dabis’ All That’s Left Of You is a bold act of cinematic defiance, historical reclamation, and a love letter to the communal, familial, and ancestral ties that bind.

Featuring heart-wrenching performances from real-life Palestinian film royalty Saleh Bakri, Adam Bakri, and the late Mohammad Bakri, the dynamically non-linear film traces three generations of an extended Palestinian family beginning just before the Nakba in 1948, into the early years of occupation during the 1970s, and culminating in a life-altering tragedy during first Intifada in 1988. Dabis’ delicate script deftly makes the political personal and vice versa without ever rendering her film didactic or cloying.

Poetic and achingly tender, Dabis’ unforgettable film does not dwell solely on trauma, instead finding room for joy, celebration, and unconditional love amongst the ruins. Hers is a film that centers the power of resilience and hearts full of love. All That’s Left Of You had its world premiere at the 2025 Sundance Film Festival, and was selected as the Jordanian entry for the Best International Feature Film at the 98th Academy Awards. Although it was not nominated, it became one of three films about Palestine to make the shortlist.

All screenings will have a special pre-recorded message from writer-director-star Cherien Dabis.
