For their 15th Season, the Asian Pop-Up Cinema co-presents the APUC Horror Marathon with FACETS, featuring the best and most fearsome films in Asian horror cinema.
A total of seven films created by genre film masters like Takashi Miike, Juno Mak, Takashi Shimizu, Fruit Chan, Fung Chih-chiang, Katayama Shinzo, Na Hong-jin, Yeon Sang-ho and rising stars like Huh Jung and Wesley Hoi are selected as part of this Halloween celebration.
The first four films, The Wailing (2016), Ichi the Killer (2001), The Mimic (2018), Peninsula (2020) were curated for the special Halloween October programming at FACETS. Culminating this segment are films from APUC Season 15: the premiere of two new films, Tales from the Occult (2022) and Missing (2022) plus one more special encore Rigor Mortis (2014) on the eve of Halloween.
