Host: Lee Shoquist is a Chicago Film Critics Association member, editor of ChicagoFilm.com, and leads 15 film discussion groups in Chicago. Lee has spoken at a variety of venues, as well as theaters and community organizations. In his film discussions, Lee offers an in-depth look at a movie’s origins, themes, and production, as well as its broader cultural and historical context. Each awards season, he shares in-depth perspectives of the movie year’s themes and contenders, as well as predicted winners.
Special Guest: Greg Kwedar is a writer, director, and producer whose sophomore film Sing Sing, staring Coleman Domingo, has been nominated for three Oscars®. In a prerecorded interview with host Lee Soquist, Greg will discuss his real-life journey to the Academy Awards
