Learn how to incorporate sound effects and music using recording and editing software to tell a compelling story.
The job of a foley artist is to create sound effects for films. Through a variety of innovative methods, foley artists can reproduce the sound of thunder or wind blowing through trees and everything in between. This five-day course will teach campers how to recreate realistic, silly, and unusual sounds with regular household items.
Campers use recording and editing programs on their personal electronic devices to brainstorm and create sounds that fit the story of their film. They will also have the opportunity to replace the sounds in a scene from a film of their choice.
This virtual camp is hosted on Zoom and includes live, interactive instruction by FACETS‘ expert media educators.
This course will require an additional 1–2 hours of work outside the scheduled Zoom hours.
Deadline for cancellations for a full refund is 2 weeks prior to the start of each program. Cancelling within 2 weeks incurs a $100 cancellation fee.
