Expectant mother Sarah is still emotionally recovering from a recent car accident that killed her husband when an unknown woman shows up on her doorstep trying to get inside. 

On Christmas Eve, Sarah (Alysson Paradis) prepares for a quiet night at home before her induced delivery the next day. She receives a knock on the door from a woman (Beatrice Dalle) who needs to use the phone. Sarah refuses the persistent woman, who begins an all-out siege on the home with one goal in mind: she wants to get inside so that she can take Sarah’s unborn baby. 

Co-directed by first-timers Julien Maury and Alexandre Bustillo, Inside stands apart from other home invasion thrillers and its contemporaries in the controversial New French Extremity subgenre through its dedication to a simple plot and impactful scares that stick with you long after the credits roll.
