This Chicago Premiere is the Winner Best Film Directed by a Woman of Color ADIFF NY 2024.

Apartheid was dismantled in 1994, yet three decades later, South Africa remains the world’s most unequal country. This exploration into South African history reveals the roots of this inequality and why they persist today. The perspective-shifting documentary features unprecedented access to the grandson of the “Architect of Apartheid,” who takes a searingly honest look at his ancestry, exposing the systemic and psychological legacies that Apartheid still holds over South Africa.

Tara Moore, 2024, 109 minutes, South Africa, Documentary
