“The first successful documentary about a high-flying Chicago chef” – Michael Phillips, Chicago Tribune
FACETS is pleased to partner with The Trotter Project to present a special screening of the award-winning documentary Love, Charlie: The Rise and Fall of Chef Charlie Trotter onSaturday June 3 at 1:30pm followed by a Q&A with the Director and stars of the film, concluding with a Wine & Dessert Reception.
Charlie Trotter revolutionized American cuisine and paved the way for today’s celebrity chefs. His quest for excellence cost him everything. With exclusive access to never-before-seen archival materials, Love, Charlie is a searing portrait of what happens when a person’s identity becomes intrinsically tied to their work; and an epic cautionary tale of what can happen when that work fades away. Featuring Grant Achatz, Emeril Lagasse, Wolfgang Puck, Carrie Nahabedian and Norman Van Aken.
