Saturday, April 13, 2024 SUPER HORROR-RAMA! presents a triple feature of melt-obsessed movies, The Devil’s Rain (1975) at 5pm, The Incredible Melting Man (1977) at 7pm, and Street Trash (1987) at 9pm.

You’ll receive a creepy candle with every ticket, and we’ll have a horror pop-up market, drink specials, and more special giveaways before all three screenings.

Experience the physical representation of melting in cinema as a reflection on the warming of the planet and the heightened visceral effect of prosthetic over digital special effects. Each of these body horror shockers—The Devil’s Rain, The Incredible Melting Man, and Street Trash—uniquely conveys the palpable effects of melting through a wildly graphic and colorful spectacle of human liquefaction. Causes include extreme weather phenomena, heedless space exploration, and drinking expired booze.

PRESHOWS

These screenings of The Devil’s Rain, The Incredible Melting Man, and Street Trash include brand new animated ad galleries created by Bill Van Ryn of Drive-In Asylum, a fanzine exploring classic eras of horror, sci-fi, cult, and exploitation films through vintage newsprint ads.

This screening is sponsored by The House of Monsters and programmed by Evelyn Spear.
