Tiny moviegoers, big imaginations! On Sunday, December 7, join FACETS and Chicago Danztheatre Ensemble for My First Movies, a joyful and interactive film experience designed especially for children ages 2–5.
This winter edition features a cozy screening of Frosty’s Winter Wonderland (1976) the heartwarming Rankin/Bass classic that brings everyone’s favorite snowman back to life for more frosty fun. Before and after the film, families can enjoy snowy crafts and winter-themed activities, while during the screening, little ones can dance, move, and play along with interactive moments led by Chicago Danztheatre Ensemble.
Designed with first-time moviegoers in mind, the space offers room to wiggle and explore, with dim (but not dark) lighting for a comfortable, welcoming experience. Sip on hot cocoa or juice boxes, relax, and celebrate the magic of winter through the joy of cinema.
SCREENING ACTIVITIES
Bring your family to the classic Rankin-Bass special! Sing along to your favorite wintery songs, and afterward, your little ones can learn to make their own holiday puppet and help to create a winter wonderland just like the North Pole. We’ll turn the theater into a winter wonderland for all to enjoy.
