In-Person Screening

Peninsula

(반도)

Screening October 27, 2022

Yeon’s take on the genre might be inspired by the horde mentality of World War Z and its rotting waves of the undead, but Peninsula itself owes more to DIY post-apocalyptic visions like Escape From New York and The Road Warrior. David Ehrlich, IndieWire

APUC curated feature for FACETS’ special Halloween October programming.

Four years after his acclaimed zombie thriller Train to Busan, director Yeon Sang-ho’s Peninsula brings the next nail-biting chapter in his post-apocalyptic world to fruition. Jung-seok, a soldier who previously escaped the diseased wasteland, relives the horror when assigned to a covert operation with two simple objectives: retrieve and survive.

Watch Train to Busan, part of the A Symphony of Horrors series, Oct 22 @ 9:00 pm.

Screening in Korean, English, Cantonese and Polish with English subtitles.

Yeon Sang-ho, South Korea, 2020, 116 mins.
