When baby New Year goes missing, Father Time sends Rudolph on an adventure to find him before midnight. With his red nose shining bright, Rudolph journeys across the magical Archipelago of Last Years, meeting fun new friends and facing off against Aeon, a sneaky buzzard who wants to keep December 31st frozen forever! Featuring the voices of Red Skelton, Frank Gorshin, and Morey Amsterdam, this Rankin/Bass classic overflows with heart, holiday magic, and fun characters for the whole family.

SENSORY-FRIENDLY SCREENING

This screening is designed with dim (but not dark) lighting, room to move around, and a no-shushing policy to create a cozy, welcoming environment for all families to enjoy.

3pm – The Year Without a Santa Claus (1974)

Get ready for holiday fun with Santa’s silliest helpers in this family-favorite adventure from Rankin/Bass!

When Santa, feeling tired and forgotten, considers skipping Christmas, Mrs. Claus, two spunky elves, and Vixen the reindeer set off to bring back the world’s Christmas cheer. Along the way, they meet the unforgettable Heat Miser and Snow Miser, the bickering brothers who control fire and ice. With help from a little magic and some snowy surprises, they inspire Santa to get back in his sleigh just in time!

Featuring the voice talents of Shirley Booth and Mickey Rooney, The Year Without a Santa Claus brings unforgettable holiday cheer. The New York Times calls Heat Miser and Snow Miser “the breakout stars” of the film, noting that their catchy tune ranks among the best songs to come from a Rankin/Bass production.
