Join us for a special free screening of the new docuseries Hard to Swallow followed by an invite-only KTQ Lab feedback session at 2:30 pm.

Hard to Swallow is a poetic food show chronicling the life and perspective of Nigerian chef and writer Tunde Wey. Essayistic and experimental, the series recounts Wey’s explosive career while building a critique of the social structures that disenfranchise Black peoples globally. 

VITAL CONVERSATIONS 

“Artivism: Can Art Bring Us to Action?” kicks off the new “Vital Conversations” screening series brought to you by FACETS and Kartemquin Films, two mainstays of the Chicago independent film scene. 

KTQ LABS 

Kartemquin Films’ KTQ Labs provides sessions for documentary filmmakers to present works in progress to receive feedback and critique from the KTQ Community. The screening of Hard to Swallow will be followed by an invite-only KTQ Lab feedback session at 2:30 pm.
