“Desperate, uproarious, it has the power of honesty and originality.” – Janet Maslin, New York Times
“A stylish, eloquent lovers-on-the-run movie with a radical urgent twist.” – David Ansen, Newsweek
FACETS Film Trivia is back with our classic brand of infotainment quiz show fun, followed up by an after-trivia screening of Gregg Araki’s gay outlaw road film, The Living End (1992) preceded by a screening of Gillian Horvat’s short film Kiss Kiss Fingerbang (2015).
Gregg Araki’s acclaimed Outlaw Couple romance has been totally revamped in THE LIVING END: REMIXED AND REMASTERED. This take-no-prisoners story of two HIV-positive lovers on the run in 90’s America is even more powerful and politically charged than ever.
Featuring 5.1 Dolby Stereo sound, this new version has been personally remastered, re-color-timed and remixed by the director, Gregg Araki (MYSTERIOUS SKIN, TOTALLY F*** UP, THE DOOM GENERATION). Starring Mike Dytri, Craig Gilmore, Mark Finch, Mary Woronov, Darcy Marta, Scot Goetz, Johanna Went. (Description courtesy of Strand Releasing).
Gregg Araki, USA, 1992, 92 mins
KISS KISS FINGERBANG is a 2015 short from I Blame Society (2020) director Gillian Hovart. Anton Yelchin stars as a nice guy who discovers his dark side when his girlfriend (Kate Lyn Sheil) reveals her secret weakness. Also starring Buck Henry.
Gillian Hovart, USA, 2015, 11 mins.
