African Diaspora International Film Festival - Chicago

est. 1993

The ADIFF Chicago 2026 film festival features a diverse lineup of 14 films, including several Chicago premieres, spanning documentaries, narratives, and short films. The festival is scheduled from Friday, June 5, to Sunday, June 7, 2026.

Established in 1993, the African Diaspora International Film Festival (ADIFF) is a non-profit arts organization dedicated to presenting contemporary and classic films that explore the human experience of people of color worldwide.

Our mission is to bridge the gap between diverse communities and provide a platform for cinematic works that are often overlooked by mainstream media. We curate a selection of films—ranging from award-winning features to thought-provoking documentaries—that highlight the richness, complexity, and diversity of the global African Diaspora and the Global South.
