Inspired by true events, The Year Between is the story of Clemence Miller, a college sophomore who is forced to move back home after having a mental breakdown. Faced with a surprising diagnosis of bipolar disorder and a jarring return to the Illinois suburbs, Clemence has to learn how to live with her well-meaning but frustrated family and find balance in a world that seems hellbent on thwarting her.

NAMI CHICAGO – ‘MY YEAR BETWEEN’ POP-UP
On Saturday, April 8th after the 7pm screening, we’re hosting NAMI Chicago for their first ‘MY YEAR BETWEEN’ pop-up after the 7pm screening. Trained facilitators will be guiding small groups in conversations about the unique and complex narratives of mental health experiences, not the dominant ones typically portrayed in entertainment. This is a great opportunity to pull from this film our own experiences and hear from others in a safe and supportive space.
